Welcome to the

Pub, B&B, Bunkhouse and Campsite

New owners Julie and Ray welcome you to Dinas Castle Inn, the highest pub in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Formerly known as The Dragons Back, we are a country pub with a great food cooked to order, and various types of wonderful, spacious and affordable accommodation.

You can find us situated in a glorious valley that is over 1000ft above sea level right in the rural heart of the Black Mountains, which make up the Eastern part of the Brecon Beacons National Park. There are spectacular views of the surrounding hills that can be seen from almost every window, or better still sit in our spacious beer garden enjoying a cold one after a busy day. Being sited in a dark skies area, we are ideal for those star gazers. We are located below the ruins of Castell Dinas , the highest ruin castle in England and Wales, and can be visited on a challenging walk right from our car park.
