Welcome to the

Pub, B&B, Bunkhouse and Campsite

Owners Julie, Ray, Jeffers and Manager Poppy, welcome you to Dinas Castle Inn; the highest pub in the Brecon Beacons National Park!

Formerly known as The Dragons Back, we are a country pub with great food cooked to order and various types of spacious and affordable accommodation. We are a pet friendly establishment and look forward to welcoming both you and your four-legged friends.

You can find us situated in a glorious valley that is over 1000ft above sea level right in the rural heart of the Black Mountains, which makes up the Eastern part of the Brecon Beacons National Park. There are spectacular views of the surrounding hills that can be seen from almost every window or better still sit in our beer garden enjoying a cold one after a busy day. Being situated in a dark skies area, we are ideal for those star gazers.

We are located below the ruins of Castell Dinas, the highest castle ruins in England and Wales, which can be visited on a picturesque walk right from our car park. For those more adventurous, the famous Dragons Back Circular begins in the same location or Mynydd Troed can be explored across the road.
